Shipyard Brewing Company required a new website to support its expansion into the UK market and strengthen its digital presence. The challenge was to create a platform that not only communicated the brand’s heritage and product range, but also engaged a new audience in a competitive craft beer market. It needed to balance storytelling with usability, while encouraging users to explore, interact and connect with the brand.

I designed the website as a brand-led platform that combined storytelling with interaction. The visual direction drew on vintage Americana and a postcard-inspired aesthetic, helping reflect the brand’s heritage while keeping the experience clear and accessible.

The site was structured to support both narrative and utility. Product pages made it easier for users to explore the beer range, while a stockist finder helped connect interest with real-world purchase. The platform was also designed to support campaign activity and evolving marketing content, giving the brand flexibility beyond static product information.

By extending the role of the site beyond simple browsing, the project became a more active engagement tool. It helped Shipyard connect with a wider audience, support product discovery and create stronger interaction around the brand inthe UK market.
